Welcome to bridge4faith!
bridge 4 faithWELCOME! Our effectiveness as The Church lies in the quality of leadership that we are producing in our local churches. Leadership is essential to success. We believe we can do a better job of identifying, nurturing and training the creative leaders we need to take us into the future.

bridge4faith.org is here to encourage and support leaders who want to create churches that model the radical hospitality of Jesus Christ.

bridge4faith.org is an ecumenical website available to all denomination and church leaders who need resources to help them build a re-imagined future. It is a place that engages our leaders in building bridges between our social polarities – gay and straight, non -churched and churched, rich and poor. It is a place to find resources for building the future.

  • Liberating WordLiberating Word: Changing the world is a daily struggle. In part, it is a struggle to keep the world and the dominant culture from changing us. While they do not reflect the faith of the majority of Americans, fundamentalists have succeeded in commandeering the public discourse. The result is that they have become the ones to define orthodoxy and, to a large extent, faith itself. Read MORE...

She is generally disinclined, in teaching, to position herself as the Cool Erudite Smartypants Expert at the front of the room. Read Sarah's BLOG...

He doesn't even play baseball. But pastors of three churches in Saint Clair, Mo., have decided that the Rev. James Semmelroth Darnell plays for the wrong team. The UCC doesn't see it that way, and is stepping up to the plate with support.

Linda Valentine
"Let Your Light Shine!" is the blog of Linda Valentine, executive director of the General Assembly Council of the PC(USA). Inspired by one of my favorite Sunday school songs, I want to share with you my encounters with the Light of the World in my daily ministry.
  • The greatest of these is love
With one eye on the Super Bowl last Sunday, we addressed and stuffed our Valentine cards and letters to friends and family across the country, beyond our shores, and from across the years. This annual ritual includes sending a card...
